In 1910 Rev. B. A. Borrevik of Silverton, Oregon, went to Portland to organize a Lutheran Free Church. The Ladies' Aid. Sunday School and Choir were organized, and as interest grew, the congregation was formed and a constitution adopted by fifteen voting members. They organized on July 22, 1911 as the Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Free Church. In 1961 a new education annex was completed and dedicated, and at this time the sanctuary and fellowship area were remodeled and enlarged. ...
